How To Do Kinky Twist

Twisting hair provides a great look without creating a hairstyle that doesn't come out easily. This hairstyle also takes a lot less time than braiding. A few different styles of twist are the Senegalese, Nubian, Kinky, Micro-Kinky, Yarn, Two Strand, Three Strand, Finger, and Flat. The following Instructions On Twisting Hair provide details on how to make Kinky Twists using extensions. These twisting instructions are useful for any black hair type.

How To Do Kinky Twist

This month I will mostly be wearing Kinky Twists (If you've never watched the Fast Show then my apologies!). I like them coz they are easy maintenance, quick to put in and take out and look great even when old and messy. Because I'm cheap and I need the practice, I decided to do them myself. I used Aftress Afro Kinky Bulk 12″ in colour 2 and T27. I ran out of hair and had to cornrow the front right portion of my head but it actually looks kind of cool. I will be keeping this style for at least 2 months and refreshing the twists and cornrows as needed. I spray my scalp nightly with Komaza Care Honeycomb Rejuvenator and a JBCO based oil mix. I also spray the twists every other day with a mix of Komaza Care Califa Leave-in Conditioner and Aloe Vera Juice. I plan to wash my hair every 2 weeks but I need to give some more consideration as to how I will deep condition my hair.

One of the greatest things about Black hair is protective styling. I can braid, twist, or cornrow my hair into any look and not have to deal with my hair for days - if I'm using extensions, for months. I am currently rocking marley twists. This is the first time I've ever sported this look and honestly, it's been a love/hate relationship so far.

Once I get settled back in to my routine after the holidays, I'm going to experiment with different pin ups. I like some of the pinups BronzeGoddess01 does. She also has some great lock tutorials. I'll also probably swing by the beauty school and let them take a stab at giving me something a little bit interesting.

I absolutely love the look and have truly developed an obsession, so much so that I have to have some to call my own. Box braids can make for a really great, low-maintenance, protective style, which is what I'm in the market for. Plus, it'll give my hair a much needed break and hopefully time to really grow.

Want to protect your natural hair from damage and give it some rest from hair styling tools? Do it with kinky twists. kinky twists are a versatile protective style that looks chic, modern and neat. They will definitely make you stand out from the crowd. Other protective styles that you should check out are: Senegalese twists and box braids

Esperanza fell onto my radar when she won a Grammy for best new artist in 2011. Apart from her beautiful jazz sound, the one thing that stood her out for me was her hair. Back then, I did not know much about natural hair - I still complained about my dread of having to go retouch my straight, relaxed hair. I fell in love with her big halo the way I fell in love with her music… and the rest, as they say, is history.

I've had these twists for about three weeks, so next week I plan on getting the front touched up and maybe a little more blonde/light brown added in. Also, I don't know if you can tell from the pics, but the front is cornrowed. This is the first time I tried having my hair plaited with cornrows in the front, but I love it because I can wear the hair pulled back or down without feeling like I'm wearing a helmet.

Kinky hair twists make women feel sexy. If you have long, beautiful hair then you might want to opt for this interesting braided style. The twists are classic and they go really well with your unconventional personality. Make an unforgettable impression on your closest friends and try out a one-of-a-kind hairstyle. Give up the bangs and let your beautiful face features take the lead!

If you would like twists that go a little past your shoulders, take the bulk hair and cut it in half. This will be plenty to create nice long kinky twists. Using the entire bit of hair will give you twists that extend down your back. Adjust the strand to the thickness that matches your own and bobby pin this strand to the section of hair you chose to start with.

So since I've already taken out my Micro City Twist I decided that I was going to try my hand at doing my own Kinky Twist. My workout regimens have increased and braids were a life saver for me as a protective style. After watching numerous video's I finally felt confident that I could achieve this feat on my own. Most people use Marley Braiding Hair, but since I'd colored my hair a couple of months ago my hair is in that two tone stage and the beauty supply store I visited didn't have any in the color 30. Soo… I grabbed another brand of hair made by Sensationnel called Afro Kinky which was 100% Tokyolon and only $7.99 a pack.

I like my twists extensions to be medium and chunky which results in a kinkier and curlier 4c natural afro like texture. I have done smaller twists before and did not like the results. It's easy to learn how to braid beautiful braided styles and twists styles so I hope that you can add this one to your twists tutorials videos.

Cornrows are one of the most popular and easy to do hairstyles with kinky hair. You can notice this hairstyleamong most of the people of African origin. This hairstyle is also quite easy to maintain. If properly maintained, cornrows can last for up to 2 hairstyle is created by making small braids all over the hair. For this, small amounts of hairs are parted, and very small and flat braids are created all over the head. After creating one braid, continue braiding many more small braids, until they look like cornrow. After that, you can let loose the back portion of the hair, so that it falls on the shoulders. And you can also perm your hairs at the back to give them a spring like appearance. There are various kinds of cornrows. Some cornrows extends towards the upward direction, some come forward like antennas, some hang on both sides of the head, while some are small and round shaped.

RJB: My mother was a salon owner in the early '90s and every Saturday morning, she would put me to work, answering phones, doing salon chores, greeting clients, shampooing and prepping clients for styling-you name it, I did it! It was as if I owned the place and loathed having to go! Twenty plus years later, my loathing has turned into gratefulness as I thank my mother for instilling in me the work ethic to own and operate my own business. I now reside in Atlanta living my dream.

Take one piece of marley hair and bend it about half-way through the section. Separate the strands, and make sure the ends of the hair taper off. This makes the end of the twist appear natural. Place that bend around the section of hair that you want to attach the hair to. At this point you should have three pieces of hair. Start braiding for about an inch. Twist all the way down to the end. Use gel and twist tightly so the twist does not unravel. Take a scissors or razor and shave off excess hair. Dip twist in boiling water for neat effect.

To begin, I split my hair into 5 sections on three-day old hair from using African Threading I chose not to do this on freshly washed hair because I wanted my hair to be well-stretched, moisturised and detangled completely. The 5 sections also helped me tremendously because I was busy with other things at the same time. So I set a goal to at least accomplish one section each day.

Got short locs? Guess what, you can do kinky twist extensions on them too just as pictured above. This is not a traditional dreadlocks hairstyle and does involve the use of artificial hair. Still, it is definitely dreadlocks-friends. The texture of the kinky hair disguises the locs and gives you a new and different look. There are however some pros and cons. Keep reading to find out what they are.

After your hair is dry, section it out how you would like it to be. You can make each portion completely even, create a pattern of some sort, or make it very random. Once you've decided on how the hair is going to be divided across your scalp, grab a chunk and separate it from the rest. You'll probably need a bunch of bobby pins or clips to hold the rest of your hair out of the way.

Yarn Twists - Although this is a pretty self explanatory style, I will explain anyway. Yarn twists are made by using yarn instead of the synthetic or human hair.
